Basics of Banking and Credit - Lesson 2
In ‘Basics of Banking and Credit’ Lesson 2: A Dive into Credit, students test their credit-building knowledge, learn financial literacy vocabulary, and do some Real Life Math Skills, calculating interest on credit card debt. This lesson allows for movement and provides an infographic assignment for students. This product includes Agenda Slides, Student Portfolio, Building Credit FACT or CAP Quiz and Answer Sheet, ‘Real Life Math: Calculating Interest’ Mini Lesson, Building Credit Infographic Assignment, and a Google Jamboard Exit Task. Estimated time to complete: 4-8 class periods, depending on the speed of your students. *Important to Note: The Real Life Math Lesson requires students to create formulas for calculating interest. They may need assistance walking through this assignment if they struggle with Algebra. I suggest doing the first questions with them, and then unleashing them to complete the spreadsheet portion of the assignment.
